I am Spiwe Jefferson
Author of Mindful in 5®
I am a successful attorney and certified mindfulness practitioner who arms busy professionals with specific science-backed mindfulness meditation tools to help them reduce stress, increase personal effectiveness, and approach work and life from a position of greater personal power and (self) compassion.
My intention is to help you connect to your higher purpose, leverage the art of mindful working, and find meaning even in the midst of pandemic-ridden work / life chaos. I provide a blend of perspectives to help you find new ways of approaching the challenges of each day.
As a mindfulness meditation practitioner since around 2005, I practiced techniques across a plethora of God-centered and secular organizations dedicated to the craft. I was inspired to launch Mindful in 5 in response to a growing trend of anxiety, loneliness, and disillusionment that many accomplished professionals experience in the workplace - even at what should be the apex of their careers.
Join me on this journey to reduce stress, increase effectiveness, resilience, and growth mindset in the workplace regardless of external challenges.

Barry is getting divorced and his finances are a mess.

Join the Mindful in 5 podcast for strategies for harnessing greater peace.
For Busy Professionals With No Time

I wanted this to be a fun read in addition to being instructive. In this unique guide, I use captivating characters experiencing daily challenges to lead you, one step at a time, to unleash the power of mindfulness meditation and journal reflections in your own life.
In short practices presented within three seasons—Dawn, Day, and Dark—I share inspiring stories followed by real-life takeaways. The journal provides space to document deep thoughts and reframed perspectives. Throughout the guide, I invite you to improve your well-being and live with purpose by calling upon your inner power, taming the mind, releasing fears, and replacing negative habits.
Mindful in 5 is delivered in bite-sized modules designed for busy professionals on the go. Central to the practice are five-minute meditations and mindfulness techniques in accessible, easy-to-remember packs that you can use to set your intentions at the beginning of your day. They are also suitable for tapping into throughout the day to reset in real time.
Whether you have been practicing mindfulness meditation for years, or are just getting started, these techniques can plug into your practice, even if you feel you have no time.
I sincerely hope you enjoy this opportunity to operate from your peaceful path. Begin each day by reading a short chapter, then journal and meditate.
